Hedo is not for everyone and that's exactly the point. The vibe is unapologetically wild — public play by the pool, foam parties that get out of hand (in the best way), and a crowd that's there to let loose completely. The toga party on Wednesdays is iconic. Negril itself is beautiful and the beach is gorgeous. Just know what you're signing up for: this is not a quiet couples retreat. It's spring break for grown-ups who happen to be in the lifestyle. We loved every chaotic minute.

Hedonism II is legendary for a reason, but let's be real: it's rough around the edges. The resort itself needs renovation — rooms are dated, the buffet food is mediocre, and the facilities show their age. What makes Hedo special is the energy and the people. The nude side of the pool is one of the most uninhibited places on earth. We had an absolute blast, but we also had to manage our expectations about the physical property. Go for the experience, not the luxury. If you want both, choose Desire instead.

Our room had a broken AC and the shower handle fell off. The dinner buffet was passable at best. And yet... we're already planning our return trip. That's the magic of Hedonism II. The social atmosphere is simply unlike anything else. Everyone is there to have fun, boundaries are respected despite the wild energy, and the beach at sunset with a rum punch in hand is pure bliss. Budget-wise, it's more affordable than Desire, which helps offset the less luxurious accommodations. Bring your sense of adventure and leave your expectations at the door.
